In the year 2014 Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that central government will help to provide housing to all by the end of the year 2022 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.  To implement this project Maharashtra Government hired to Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority or MHADA in the year 2015 to construct 11 lakh houses for low income group people in the state Maharashtra. So MHADA took initiative to construct 10,000 houses in the city and suburb area till 2018.

MHADA Lottery 2018 Time Table

Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has already made plan for MHADA Lottery 2017. It is expected that MHADA Lottery 2017 will be held in the month of March 2017. The scheme is to release 10,000 houses under the lottery which is going to be held in March 2017. MHADA is a government organization that construct houses to sell it to needy people of Maharashtra. 

MHADA run a survey to gather the accurate number of housing requirement from 1^st July to 31^st. This survey took place in Bhivandi, Thane, Kalyan Dombivali, Mira Road areas of Mumbai City. As per the survey result, there were 45000 houses demand came into the picture. Under the MHADA lottery scheme 320 square feet houses will be provided to the economically weaker section of people of Maharashtra. 

How to Apply Next MHADA Lottery Held In 2018

Every year lottery is held by MHADA for the different city of Maharashtra. So that all the places get benefited equally. Interested people needs to apply for these lotteries either online or offline and then requires to wait for the result announcement.

MHADA lottery is primarily for the people of Low Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) of Maharashtra. People of High Income Group (HIG) can’t get benefitted out of MHADA Lottery scheme.

About MHADA: MHADA is a Government owned body constituted under MHADA Act 1976. It was established in the year 1977. Since the year 2015 the Maharashtra Government gave the responsibility of constructing 11 lakh houses in the state, to MHADA. This responsibility was given in order to fulfill the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. 

The first lottery for the year 2017 will be held in the month of March by MHADA. As of date around 75,000 applications has been received by MHADA.
